Girls Bowling: Chapelle, Mount Carmel get Monday wins

KENNER – Archbishop Chapelle swept the first two games en route to a 23½-3½ victory over Kenner Discovery Monday at AMF All Star Lanes.

Chapelle (10-1), fifth in the latest unofficial LHSAA power rankings, started quickly as Elizabeth Hamilton had an opening-game 224 and Olivia Bares a 202. Hamilton’s 213 keyed the game two sweep.

Hamilton, the only Chipmunk to bowl all three games, finished with a 594 series.

Taylor Daniels led the Swamp Owls (3-9) with a 433 series.

Mount Carmel 22, Patrick Taylor 5: The Cubs defeated the Tigers at Westside Lanes in Harvey.

Mount Carmel took six of eight points in each of the first two games and closed out the match with a 7-1 win in game three.

Kiley Salge’s 455 series led the Cubs. Emily Heller had a 160 opening game.

Gabrielle Viviano paced Patrick Taylor with a 451 series, which included a 173 final game.

Both teams are 4-7.
