Girls Bowling: Cabrini tops Kenner Discovery; SSA defeats Mt. Carmel
Cabrini continued its late-season roll with a 19-8 victory over Kenner Discovery in girls bowling action Monday at AMF All Star Lanes in Kenner.
Jennifer Luna had a 552 series, including a final-game 198, to lead the Crescents (7-3), who were 11th in Friday’s latest release of the LHSAA’s unofficial power rankings.
Taylor Daniels had a middle-game 188 as part of a 432 series for the Swamp Owls (2-8).
St. Scholastica 22, Mount Carmel 5: The Doves traveled across the Causeway and defeated the Cubs at AMF.
SSA (6-3), who compete in the Hammond region and are 15th in the latest power rankings, took a 6-2 lead after one game and 12-4 after two before winning seven of eight points in the final game.
Mia Medina led the Doves with a 460 series. Maggie Robertson claimed a pair of points and Gabrielle Howard had a final-game 146 to lead Mount Carmel (2-7).
