Girls Bowling: AOL stays unbeaten, sets up back-to-back against Chapelle
The area’s two top girls bowling programs will head into back-to-back matchups unbeaten after defending state champion Academy of Our Lady defeated Kenner Discovery 22-5 in a neutral-site match Monday at Colonial Lanes in Harahan.
The Penguins (5-0) and Archbishop Chapelle (6-0) meet in a non-district match Thursday at Westside Lanes in Harvey, and the two teams will face off again in a district matchup next Monday at AMF All Star Lanes in Kenner.
Danielle Poussard led AOL in the victory over Kenner Discovery with a 526 series, including a 197 final game. Liz Babcock had a 486 set for the winners.
Madison Lemoine produced three of the five points for the Swamp Owls (3-4), rolling a 447 series.
