Girls Basketball: Karr edges McDonogh 35
Area Girls Prep Basketball Report for Wednesday, Jan. 9
In a battle of rivals, it went down to the final minute.
In the end the home team prevailed as Karr edged McDonogh 35 by a 32-31 margin.
The game was extremely close throughout.
The Cougars led 8-6 after one quarter and 14-13 at the half. Karr led 28-26 going to the final quarter.
Freshman Tatyana Barber led Karr (11-11) with 10 points, sinking five of eight attempts from the field. Demi Howard chipped in with six points.
Karr returns to action Friday at Belle Chasse at 5:30 pm while the Roneagles (7-14) will host New Orleans Military and Maritime next Tuesday at 5 pm.
