RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech officials announced a 6:30 p.m. tip time for Thursday’s first round WNIT match-up between the Lady Techsters and Missouri State at the Thomas Assembly Center.

LA Tech (19-11, Conference USA) and Missouri State (20-11, Missouri Valley) will meet for just the fourth time ever – the first since the 2011-12 season – with the Bears holding a 2-1 advantage in the series.

Tickets are on sale for the game and can be purchased through the Louisiana Tech Ticket Office by calling 318-257-3631, emailing [email protected], logging onto or coming by the office located in the Thomas Assembly Center (8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.). Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for youth (ages 4-17) with LA Tech students getting in free with their University ID.

The match-up pits the last two non-Power 5 programs to reach an NCAA women’s basketball Final Four (LA Tech 1999, Missouri State 2001). It also matches two programs led by wife-husband coaching combos in LA Tech’s Brooke and Scott Stoehr and Missouri State’s Kelly and Jon Harper.

Four coaches in the game have playing experience in Final Fours during their playing days in Brooke (Lassiter) Stoehr (LA Tech, 1999), Lindsey Hicks (Purdue, 2001), Kellie (Jolly) Harper (Tennessee, 1996, 1997, 1998) and Jackie Stiles (Missouri State, 2001).

Both teams are led by trios of double digit scorers in LA Tech’s Alexus Malone (14.6 ppg, 9.0  rpg), Kierra Anthony (14.1 ppg, 3.7 rpg) and Taylor Stahly (11.0 ppg, 83 three-pointers) and Missouri State’s Liza Fruendt (16.0 ppg, 69 three-pointers), Alexa Willard (10.9 ppg) and Aubrey Buckley (10.7 ppg, 6.1 rpg).

Tech and Missouri State have only one common opponent this year in NCAA qualifier Little Rock. The Lady
