Former Pacific guard Khaleb Wilson-Rouse inks with UNO Men’s Basketball

NEW ORLEANS – Former Pacific point guard Khaleb Wilson-Rouse will join the University of New Orleans men’s basketball program next season.

The 6’2” native of Chicago (Prosser Career Academy) comes to the Privateers after spending last season as a Pacific Tiger. Playing for 13-year NBA veteran Damon Stoudamire, Khaleb appeared in 30 games last season and started 14 of the Tigers’ final 16 contests. Wilson-Rouse hit 39.2% of his shots from the floor and averaged 5.0 points per game.  His best game last season was on January 31 at Santa Clara where he scored a Div. I career-high 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting.

Khaleb came to Pacific as one of the most decorated players in the history of New Mexico Military Institute.  During his lone season as a Bronco (2020-2021), Wilson-Rouse earned an NJCAA All-American Honorable Mention after averaging 21.8 points per game (5^th best in the NJCAA) with two 30+ point outings and hitting 91.6% of his shots from the charity stripe (3^rd best in the NJCAA). He was named Newcomer of the Year and First-Team All-Conference by the Western Junior College Athletic Conference.

Prior to his single season in Roswell, Wilson-Rouse spent the 2019-2020 season at Bryant & Stratton in Wisconsin where he averaged 13.5 points per game with 4.2 rebounds in 32 games (30 starts) for the Bobcats. Khaleb finished his freshman season with 21 games in double-figure scoring, with four games of 20 points or more, and a 30-point outing against Lincoln Land Community College.

Wilson-Rouse joins Denver transfer Jordan Johnson, Link Year Prep Academy’s Omarion Henry, and St. Andrew’s Preston Murphy as new men’s basketball players ahead of the 2022-2023 season.
