THIBODAUX, La. – After signing a rookie free agent deal with the NFL’s Buffalo Bills in the spring, former Nicholls State University defensive back B.T. Sanders has been named to the practice squad, the organization announced Sunday afternoon.

A day after the Bills finalized their 53-man roster, Sanders was one of seven players to be added Sunday to their 10-player practice squad. Sanders played in all four of Buffalo’s preseason games and finished with four solo tackles and a pass defended.

A four-year letterwinner for the Colonels from 2013-16, Sanders started three seasons and was a two-time Second Team All-Southland selection. He racked up 254 tackles in his career and added four forced fumbles and three interceptions.

Sanders is the first Colonel to make an NFL roster/practice squad since 2011 graduate Bobby Felder. A two-time All-Southland First Team selection, Felder spent three seasons (2012-14) with the Minnesota Vikings.
