Former Murray State star post player KJ Williams to transfer to LSU
Go with what you know.
That seems to be the motto of LSU’s new men’s basketball coach Matt McMahon.
The Tigers have now secured three players from Murray State via the transfer portal with the addition of big man KJ Williams.
Murray State transfer KJ Williams has committed to LSU, reuniting with his former HC Matt McMahon, he tells @On3sports.
The 6-foot-10, 245-pound big man led the Racers in scoring (18) and rebounding (8.4) last season.

A fifth-year senior during his final year of eligibility in 2022-23, last season’s Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year averaged a career-high 18 points with 8.4 rebounds for McMahon’s Racers.
The Cleveland, Miss. native had declared for the NBA Draft and entered the transfer portal back in March.
Williams joins Justice Hill and Trae Hannibal as ex-Murray State players to follow their coach to Baton Rouge this offseason.
