Kole Taylor

Former LSU tight end Kole Taylor is transferring to West Virginia.

After he entered the transfer portal December 8, Taylor was offered by Oklahoma State and Colorado, among others. He visited the Morgantown campus on December 15.

Taylor, who signed with the Tigers as a three-star prospect, has added 22 pounds to his frame and now stands 6-foot-7 and 250 pounds.

The Grand Junction, Colorado product grabbed 17 passes for 159 yards and a touchdown. Five catches for 55 yards came this season.

Taylor played in 19 games for the Tigers. He will have 2 years of eligibility remaining.

With the emergence of freshman Mason Taylor this season, along with LSU coach Brian Kelly’s addition of three tight ends in the ’23 signing class, Taylor needed a change of scenery.
