Former LSU safety Grant Delpit was carted off the field Monday with an Achilles injury, reports NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Selected with the No. 44 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Delpit was a first-team All-SEC player and a consensus All-American in each of the past two seasons. Last season, the New Orleans born standout won the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the top defensive back in college football.

Delpit was seeing first-team snaps with the Browns early in training camp but both will have to wait until next season for him to make his NFL debut.
