Former LSU outfielder, assistant Leon Landry to join Southern coaching staff

Former LSU baseball player Leon Landry is expected to go across town to join second-year head coach Kerrick Jackson’s coaching staff at Southern next season, according to a report by Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball.

Landry spent 2018 as an undergraduate assistant at LSU, working primarily with outfielders. The Baton Rouge native started 162 games as an outfielder at LSU from 2008-10 including the Tigers’ national title winning 2009 campaign.
