Former Chalmette star Mitchell Robinson re-signs with Knicks
From around the Big Easy to the Big Apple, Mitchell Robinson has made himself into a fine NBA player.
The free-agent center has agreed to a four-year, $60 million contract to stay with the New York Knicks, his agents, Thad Foucher and Joe Smith of Wasserman Basketball, told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
A second-round pick in 2018 after finishing his prep career at Chalmette High School, Robinson became a keeper in New York over the past four seasons despite some injury issues. The 7-footer has thrived in the NBA as a rim runner and defender.
Robinson averaged 8.5 points per game on 76.1% from the floor last season when he played a career-high 72 games with 62 starts.
