Five Delgado basketball players named to LCCAC All-Conference team

The Louisiana Community College Athletic Conference has announced its inaugural 2018-2019 All-Conference Basketball selections, including five Dolphins.

Kai Morgan of Delgado was named 2019 LCCAC Most Outstanding Player. Morgan scored 491 points, averaging 19.6 points per game in his first season. Against Louisiana community colleges, his averaged jumped to a league high 21.7 points per game on 39.2% shooting. He made 71 of 216 three-point field goals.

Also named First Team selection was sophomore Louis Blakes, who averaged 21.1 points per game with 3 assists in conference play. Sophomore Troy Nisby was voted a Second Team selection with an average of 13.1 points per game and 3.8 assists in conference play.

On the Women’s Team, freshmen Dan Necia Nora was named to the First Team and Indya Tutt was selected Second Team. Nora average 13.7 points per game against Louisiana colleges with 9.1 rebounds. Tutt averaged 9.3 points per game with 4 assists.
