LSU beat out Florida State and Ohio State for the coveted left tackle’s services. The Seminoles were thought to have the inside track, but Kelly and offensive line coach Brad Davis made a major impact on his decision.
Frazier took an official visit to LSU as well as NC State. Florida State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Iowa State, Rutgers, Texas A&M and UCLA also met with the New Jersey native over the past couple of weeks.
The 6-foot-5, 304-pound Frazier, who spent two seasons at FIU after one year at Milford Academy (New York), has three years of eligibility remaining. The 2021 Freshman All-American started 11 games for the Golden Panthers but he decided to seek a new home after FIU head coach Butch Davis was dismissed following a 1-11 season.
Frazier has the body type, physical skills and mental capacity to be an outstanding high major tackle with pro prospects. The Tigers could just have added their starting left tackle for the next two or more seasons.
