Father of Tremont Waters reported dead at age 49

The father of former LSU star Tremont Waters was found dead in a hotel room Thursday afternoon, according to a report from News 8 in New Haven, Conn.

Police said Ed Waters, 49, was found at a Super 8 Motel in West Haven.

Tremont Waters was taken with the 51st overall pick (second rounder) of this year’s NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics following two years at LSU.
