Ex-LSU tight end Arik Gilbert announces transfer to Georgia

Former LSU tight end Arik Gilbert has told 247 Sports that he is transferring to the University of Georgia.

The ex-five-star tight end recruit out of Marietta High School heads back to his home state after entering the transfer portal and then announcing on Jan. 31 he would go to the University of Florida

Gilbert, the No. 1 tight end in the country in the class of 2020, caught 35 passes for 368 yards and two touchdowns in eight games at LSU last season before opting out at the end of November.
