Derrius Guice

Former LSU and Catholic of Baton Rouge star Derrius Guice was arrested on domestic violence-related charges and released by the NFL’s Washington football team.

Guice turned himself into authorties Friday, and Washington announced his release hours later:

Guice faces one felony count of strangulation, three counts of assault and battery as well as one count of destruction of property, a spokesman for the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office told The Washington Post.

Guice, who has hired prominent criminal attorney Peter D. Greenspun, surrendered to authorities Friday.

Washington drafted Guice in the second round in 2018 but he has been slowed by knee injuries which limited him to five career games.
