Ex-LSU linebacker Phillip Webb transfers to Jackson State
Former LSU outside linebacker Phillip Webb, who left the program this past July due to a medical issue, has decided to transfer to Jackson State where new head coach T.C. Taylor takes over for Deion Sanders.
Webb redshirted as a true freshman in ’20. He participated in three games for LSU in 2021.
The 6-4, 255-pounder Webb, a product of Lanier High in Buford, Ga., was the fourth overalll rated outside linebacker in the 2020 class after accumulating 216 career tackles with 54 for losses, 26.5 sacks and 63 quarterback hurries.
