Ex-LSU, Jesuit linebacker Deion Jones agrees to four-year contract extension with Falcons
Former LSU and Jesuit linebacker Deion ‘Debo’ Jones has emerged as a bonafide NFL star. The Atlanta Falcons will pay him like one.
The team announced it has agreed to a four-year, $57 million contract extension for Jones.
The new deal contract extends the 24-year old Jones through the 2023 season and guarantees him $34 million. He was set to enter the final year of his rookie contract before agreeing to the extension.
The 2016 second-round draft pick made the Pro Bowl in 2017 but suffered a broken right foot in the first game of last season, limiting him to just five games.
