Report: Ex-LSU hoops coach Johnny Jones takes over Texas Southern program

Johnny JonesFormer LSU basketball coach Johnny Jones is a head coach again, heading to Texas Southern of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, according to a report.

Jones, the associate head coach at Nevada, will replace Mike Davis as head coach, according to Fox 26 in Houston.

It will be Jones’ first head coaching job since he was fired from LSU in 2017. Read more from The Advocate.

The DeRidder High School alum is a former LSU point guard and assistant coach under Dale Brown.
