Former LSU cornerback Tre’Davious White has been named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month honors for September.

“I know that I belong in this league,” White told BuffaloBills.com. “If I continue to take that approach and continue to practice hard like I do and continue to be a team player and accept the coaching, I’ll be fine.”

Through three regular season games, White has 16 tackles and an interception while leading the NFL in pass breakups with seven.

Buffalo took the Green Oaks High School product 27th overall in this year’s NFL Draft. White was a consensus All-American in his senior season at LSU.
