Ex-LSU CB Rashard Robinson suspended by NFL for four games
Former LSU cornerback Rashard Robinson has been suspended four games by the NFL for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
STATEMENT BY AN NFL SPOKESPERSON:
Rashard Robinson of the New York Jets has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2018 regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.
Robinson will be eligible to return to the Jets’ active roster on Monday, October 1 following the team’s September 30 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Robinson is eligible to participate in all preseason practices and games.
An arrest last year for possession of edible marijuana resulted in the suspension for Robinson.
The Jets sent a fifth-round pick to the 49ers t acquire Robinson at the mid-season trade deadline. The 23-year old Robinson was drafted by San Francisco in the fourth round back in 2016.
