Ex-Kentucky forward Daimion Collins transfers to LSU men’s basketball

Former Kentucky five-star men’s basketball signee Daimion Collins announced on social media Thursday afternoon that he is transferring to LSU.

The Atlanta, Texas native averaged 2.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per game as a sophomore this past season.

In his two seasons with UK, the 6-foot-9 Collins averaged 2.4 points and 2.0 rebounds in just under eight minutes per outing. He shot 51.1 percent from the floor and 73.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Collins is the sixth player to transfer to LSU this offseason, joining Jalen Cook (Tulane), Jordan Wright (Vanderbilt), Will Baker (Nevada), Carlos Stewart (Santa Clara) and Hunter Dean (George Washington).
