Ehret’s Travis Mumphrey named Metro Prep Player of the Week

John Ehret senior quarterback Travis Mumphrey has been selected as the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl/Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club, CrescentCitySports.com, WGSO 990 AM and Friday Night Football Prep Player of the Week for week three.

A senior, Mumphrey was brilliant against Destrehan in a thrilling 37-34 victory. Mumphrey completed 21-of-32 passes for 379 yards and three touchdowdns and rushed nine times for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Mumphrey is committed to UNLV. He is coached by Marcus Scott.

Mumphrey will be honored at the year-end luncheon of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club on Dec. 11 at Rock’n’Bowl at 3016 South Carrollton Avenue, where the club meets each Tuesday during the football season.
