Drexel’s record-setting comeback replaces Tulane in record books, evokes UK-LSU memories
Tulane, you’re off the hook. LSU, we’re not so sure.
The 34-point comeback win for Drexel last night over Delaware set a new NCAA Division I men’s basketball record, breaking the previous record from 1950 when Duke came back from 32 points to beat Tulane way back in 1950.
Once down by 34 points (53-19), Drexel defeated Delaware tonight 85-83. It is the largest comeback in Division I MBB history, breaking a record that stood since 12-30-1950 (Duke beat Tulane after trailing by 32).

The Green Wave are covered in the record books but most people have considered Kentucky’s 31 point rally at LSU in 1994 to be the mother of all college hoops comebacks.

Perhaps fans will remember Drexel’s rally as the best from now on but we can be sure the UK stunner on Mardi Gras night will not be forgotten anytime soon.
