Dillard’s McClendon, Williams named GCAC Men’s Track & Field Athletes of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – Bleu Devils Kaleb McClendon and Julian Williams have been announced as this week’s track and field athletes of the week, respectively.

McClendon earned a pair of top-ten finishes at the Southeastern Strawberry Relays, running a season-best 21.41 in the 200m to place sixth to qualify for the NAIAs. The Norfolk, Virginia native slotted in at ninth during the 100m with a time of 11.01, his second top-ten finish in the event during the 2021 outdoor campaign.

Williams, who also competed at the Southeastern Strawberry Relays, impressed in his season debut to earn a silver medal placement in the triple jump with a distance of 13.72 which was better than one of the NCAA Division I athletes that he was facing.
