Delgado’s Brayden Jobert signs with LSU for 2022 season
Delgado infielder Brayden Jobert, a freshman transfer from Nicholls State University, has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career at LSU next fall.
Jobert, a native of Slidell, prepped at Northshore High School before attending Nicholls State University last season prior to its interruption by the COVID-19 pandemic. During his time with the Colonels, Jobert batted .365 in eighteen games with a thirteen game hitting streak. He was named a freshman All-American following the abbreviated season. Jobert made the decision to transfer to Delgado this past summer, joining the Dolphins for the 2020-2021 academic year.
“Brayden’s signing marks another milestone in his already successful career, a career that promises a bright future for him as we approach our spring season at Delgado and into his next chapter at LSU. Brayden’s story is another example of Delgado’s tradition of preparing our student-athletes for success at the next level, both academically and athletically. We congratulate Brayden, his parents, and his family and look forward to great things ahead for him this season at Delgado and into his future.”
Due to circumstances surrounding the pandemic, Jobert’s signing took place with his family.
The 2021 Delgado Baseball season opens on Thursday, February 18 with the annual “Rags” Scheuermann Memorial Tournament at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.
