Delgado infielder Brayden Jobert has been named the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Division I Player of the Week for his performance against Bryant & Stratton College and Lincoln Trail College last week.

In six games, Jobert posted a .579 batting average and 1.467 slugging percentage after 11 hits and 17 RBIs in his 19 at-bats. He had five doubles and two homeruns. Both homeruns came in last Saturday’s game against Lincoln Trail College, one a three run homerun and one a game-winning walkoff grand slam to secure the Dolphins’ 11-1 mercy rule walkoff.

Jobert is in his freshman season after transferring to Delgado last fall following his COVID-interrupted season with Nicholls State in 2020. Jobert has signed with Louisiana State University for the 2021-2022 season.
