Delgado defeated Coastal Alabama South in both games of its Wednesday doubleheader at John Ryan Stadium in Metairie, Louisiana. The games were relocated when weather impacted field conditions at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.

In the first game, Coastal Alabama-South scored two runs in the third inning on back-to-back fielder’s choices. Delgado’s first run came in the fifth inning when Brennan Lambert reached on a single, stole second, and scored on an infield error.

A third Coastal Alabama run came on a sacrifice fly in the sixth before Delgado answered with two runs in the sixth following a triple by Brayden Jobert, who scored on a double by Stephen Klein.

Klein scored on a single by Ethan Lege to tie the game 3-3. In the seventh, Connor Feustle led off the frame with a double and Brayden Caskey and Michael Stutes walked to load the bases before Brayden Jobert reached on an error to score Feustle for Delgado’s 4-3 walkoff win.

Tre Dupont picked up the win on the mound in relief of starter Hunter Draper.

In game two, Delgado plated five runs on five hits in the third, including a leadoff triple by Brayden Jobert, who scored on a single by Stephen Klein. Jacob Singletary and Jobee Boone reached on singles before scoring on a triple by Mark Johnston. Coastal Alabama batted around in the fourth to plate four runs, beginning with a solo homerun, but failed to take the lead.
