Delgado drops hoops doubleheader Monday

Delgado’s Women’s and Men’s teams each suffered losses Monday in the Williamson Center.

The Lady Dolphins hosted Pearl River Community College and fell behind early, failing to recover en route to a 73-37 loss to the Pearl River Wildcats.

Korriana Reynaud carried the Lady Dolphins with 22 of the 27 points, including eight rebounds and three assists.

The Delgado Men trailed 47-36 at the half and despite a valiant second half, suffered the 74-71 loss to Coastal Alabama Sotuh with the final three pointer hitting at the buzzer.

Jalvin Mitchell had 21 points with 12 rebounds and 6 blocks and an assist. Tylor Harris posted 13 points and seven rebounds and Tony White had 10 points and eight rebounds. Keyon Giroir finished the night with ten points and two three-pointers.

The Lady Dolphins will travel to Mississippi Gulf Coast Thursday before both teams host Bossier this Saturday in the Williamson Center.
