Delgado basketball signs Kurt Lebeaud of Crescent City Christian
Kurt Lebeaud of Crescent City Christian has signed a basketball scholarship with Delgado.
Lebeaud was the Most Valuable Player of the state championship game in 2020.
A district MVP and an all-metro and all-state performer in 2021, Lebeaud helped the Pioneers capture a second straight Division IV boys state championship.
Lebeaud averaged 17.1 points and 8.2 assists per game this past season for the Pios.
“Kurt is every coach’s dream point guard, an excellent student of the game and an excellent teammate,” Pios coach Shaun Dumas said. “He is an excellent Christian and person off the court. He made my job easier. I know he will be successful at Delgado. Kurt makes plays. Whatever the team needs him to do, he does it. Kurt will do it all at a high level. That is what makes him special. He is humble, a great young man.”
