Delgado Basketball advances in playoffs with 69-68 win over Meridian

Delgado Men’s Basketball advanced in NJCAA Playoffs with Thursday’s 69-68 win over Meridian Community College in a final seconds thriller in Meridian, Mississippi.

Meridian tied and took a 68-67 lead before Delgado rebounded the ball and Brandon Davis nailed a game-winning shot for the Dolphins.

Davis closed the night with 19 points, Donte Mitchell had 17, and Tony White and Jalvin Mitchell had 10.

With the win, the Dolphins advance to the third round of Region XXIII Division I playoffs and will travel to Northeast Mississippi on Tuesday.
