Defining moments change your life.

My life changed 15 years ago on the day I entered into the wellness industry. I have learned through experience that the true definition of wellness is not reflected in pounds, inches or pushups. Wellness is finding a life-long balance of your physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual intelligences.

I have had the privilege of meeting people every day who share their story with me about their desire to get to a healthier place. A common thread underlying almost every person’s story is their sincere desire to be happy and feel better. These thoughts and desires bring about actions and create choices. Healthy choices bring about defining moments that can ultimately become game changers in our lives.

One such defining moment for me was the day I met Mrs. Daniell Nielsen. She made a choice to begin her wellness journey with our Anytime Fitness family in 2012 after the untimely death of her husband, a service member killed in the line of duty. Our team of fitness professionals embraced Daniell, who worked for a year to find the balance that she needed.

In July of 2013, we submitted Daniell’s amazing story to the corporate office at Anytime Fitness. She was chosen as the Member Success Story of the Year:
