De La Salle’s Ryan Manale named Metro Prep Coach of The Year

De La Salle head coach Ryan Manale has been named the Metro New Orleans Coach of the Year for the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl/Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club, CrescentCitySports.com and Friday Night Football.

Manale guided his Cavaliers to an unbeaten regular season, the top seed in the Division II state playoffs and the school’s first trip to a state championship game in 56 years.

De La Salle defeated eventual Class 4A state champion Karr 28-26 in the regular season and knocked out defending Division II state champion St. Thomas More 28-14 in the state semifinals before falling to second-seed and unbeaten University Lab 45-19 in the state championship game.
