De La Salle, Hannan playoff game slated for WGSO and Original

De La Salle vs. Karr 2017

The Division II state quarterfinal football game pitting unbeaten top-seed De La Salle against eighth-seed Archbishop Hannan will air live Friday at 7 p.m. on WGSO 990AM and at WGSO.com as part of Ken Trahan’s Original Prep Football Report.

De La Salle Sports Hall of Fame inductees Ken Trahan and Marion Bonura, member of the De La Salle Class of 1964, will provide the call of the game while Wayne Barber will handle sideline reports at Pan American Stadium in City Park.

The playoff contest will be part of Ken Trahan’s Original Prep Football Report, a radio staple on prep football Friday nights which provides previews from the top games in Louisiana, frequent scoreboard updates and live reports from dozens playing sites at halftime of the game. Upon completion of the De La Salle-Hannan game broadcast, The Original continues with live reports, scoreboard updates from CrescentCitySports.com and analysis from around the state.

The Cavaliers (9-0) had a first-round bye while the Hawks (9-2) defeated Vandebilt Catholic, 35-20, in the opening round.

The game broadcast is presented by De La Salle High School, along with AKD Law Firm, Fisherman’s Net, Frankie and Johnny’s Restaurant, Mosquito Joe Pest Control Service, Mushin Training Center and The Stone Gallery.
