NEW ORLEANS – David Warner has been hired as the General Manager of Privateer Sports Marketing as New Orleans announced an expanded partnership with The Aspire Group. Warner began on the Lakefront on August 9 after spending the spring with Southern Miss and Learfield IMG.

“I’m very excited to be back in New Orleans and working with UNO Athletics,” said Warner. “The University of New Orleans represents the diverse nature of our city, and I’m excited to help maximize the potential of our teams through corporate partnerships.”

In Hattiesburg, Warner oversaw the management of corporate sponsorships in-venue and digital assets, as well as intellectual property.

Prior to his time at Southern Miss, Warner was the Tulane Sports Properties’ Senior Manager of Business Development from 2016-21.

“New Orleans Athletics is thrilled to welcome David Warner to #NOLAsTEAM,” said Steve Stroud, Deputy Athletic Director / Chief Development and Revenue Officer. “His experience within the New Orleans market, having successfully built corporate partnerships with the Zephyrs and Tulane, as well as his recent success at Southern Miss, is exactly the background we had hoped to attract. The Aspire Group continues to do great work in attracting talent. I expect both our existing and future corporate partners to appreciate David’s attentiveness and professionalism as we work together to build terrific relationships.

He held business development positions with the New Orleans Zephyrs (2014-16) and the National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana (2012-14). He was the program director for the University of Mississippi Foundation after graduating from Ole Miss in 2007.

A native of Columbia, Mississippi, Warner resides in Slidell with his girlfriend Kaytlinn and their son Graham.
