Former UL Lafayette standout Danny Farquhar was discharged from the hospital, the Chicago White Sox announced Monday afternoon.

The 31-year old right-hander suffered a brain hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm on April 20. He collapsed in the White Sox dugout after a relief appearance in Chicago.

Farquhar, who pitched for the Ragin’ Cajuns from 2006-08, will not pitch for the remainder of this season but he may return to baseball next season. More importantly, he appears primed to live a full, normal life.
