Cross Country: St. Martin’s Kellum wins individual boys title at Bayou Boogie Meet

It was a good day for Samuel Kellum of St. Martin’s Episcopal at the St. Michael the Archangel Bayou Boogie meet Saturday at Highland Road Park in Baton Rouge.

Kellum captured the boys individual title in a time of 16:10:59. Saints teammate Benjamin Bone was second in a time of 16:22:31.

Catholic High of Baton Rouge placed two runners in the top five to claim the team title with a score of 39. John Curtis Christian was second with Mandeville third and St. Martin’s finishing fourth.

St. Joseph’s Academy won the girls competition with a low score of 42, led by individual champion Lauren Hendry. Mandeville finished second with Holy Savior Menard third and St. Michael the Archangel fourth.
