Cross Country: Jesuit wins Catholic High Invitational

It was a good Saturday for Jesuit at the Catholic High Invitational Cross Country meet at Highland Park.

The Blue Jays took first place, holding off the host Bears. Mandeville finished third. University High was fourth and Belle Chasse finished fifth.

Jesuit won by placing two runners in the top two spots. Michael Vocke won the individual title in a time of 15:33.34 while teammate Jack DesRoches was second in a time of 15:33.46. Lucan Sampedro of Jesuit was fourth.

St. Joseph’s Academy captured the girls individual title with Dominican second. E.D. White Catholic was third with Newman fourth and Episcopal fifth.
