NEW ORLEANS – Crescent City Sports will live stream Monday night the boys basketball matchup of Uptown rivals Isidore Newman and De La Salle.

Monday’s coverage on CrescentCitySports.com begins just before the 6 p.m. CST tipoff of the non-district matchup from the Cavalier gymnasium. CCS’ Ken Trahan and Bill Gallagher will describe the action.

Newman (16-6) has not played since a 77-42 victory over Pearl River on Monday. The Greenies will host Archbishop Hannan Saturday. De La Salle (10-5) has won two in a row heading into weekend matchups with Thomas Jefferson and Archbishop Shaw.

As of Friday, the Greenies sat atop the unofficial LHSAA Division III power ratings, while the Cavaliers were ranked sixth in Division II.

The teams were originally scheduled to play Jan. 29, but that was postponed because of issues related to COVID-19. Last season, De La Salle swept a pair of matchups over Newman.

The Crescent City Sports team is in its 10th season of producing live broadcasts for television and internet, having produced broadcasts of more than 300 live games since 2012, and is continuing its extensive commitment to prep sports coverage on its website for 2020-21. Additionally, in cooperation with Cox Sports Television, CCS will also produce additional events that will both be televised on CST and streamed on the site.
