Hahnville football

NEW ORLEANS – Crescent City Sports will live stream a Class 5A non-district matchup Friday night between Mandeville and Hahnville.

Coverage begins at 6:50 p.m. with kickoff at 7 from Tiger Stadium in Boutte. Lenny Vangilder and Wayde Keiser will describe the action.

Both teams are looking to bounce back from Week 1 defeats. Mandeville fell to Denham Springs 28-13 in Craig Jones’ first regular-season game as head coach at his alma mater, while Hahnville lost to Newman 35-14 in its opener.

It’s said a team’s biggest improvement comes between the first and second games of the season, and both Jones – who moved from Lakeshore to Mandeville last spring – and third-year Hahnville coach Daniel Luquet will look to clean up some of their teams’ miscues from Week 1.

Hahnville won the last meeting between the schools 34-13 in 2019.

The Crescent City Sports team is in its 12th season of producing live broadcasts for television and internet, having produced more than 400 live streams since 2012, and is continuing its extensive commitment to prep sports coverage on its website for 2022-23.
