NEW ORLEANS – A Class 2A semifinal football matchup between Jonesboro-Hodge and Amite will be live streamed Friday night on Crescent City Sports.

CCS’ live streaming coverage begins just prior to the 7 p.m. kickoff from Amite. Ken Berthelot and Wayde Keiser will describe the action.

The seventh-seeded Tigers (11-2) are seeking their first trip to a state championship game since it made four consecutive appearances from 1987-90. The No. 6 seed Warriors (10-2), who have five state titles to their credit, are looking for a fifth trip to the Ochsner Prep Classic since 2011.

Last Friday, both teams went on the road to grab quarterfinal victories. Jonesboro-Hodge edged Franklin 29-28, while Amite defeated No. 3 seed General Trass 20-2.

Friday night’s winner advances to the Class 2A championship game against either top-seeded and defending Class 2A champion Many or No. 4 seed Avoyelles. The title game is next Friday, Dec. 10, at 3:30 p.m., in the Caesars Superdome.

The Crescent City Sports team is in its 11th season of producing live broadcasts for television and internet, having produced more than 350 live streams since 2012, and is continuing its extensive commitment to prep sports coverage on its website for 2021-22. CCS will also produce additional events that will both be televised by Cox Communications and streamed on the site.
