NEW ORLEANS – Crescent City Sports’ live streaming coverage transitions to the spring seasons with coverage of a District 9-5A matchup between Holy Cross and Jesuit Thursday night.

Live coverage from John Ryan Stadium in Metairie will begin just prior to the 7 p.m. first pitch. Ken Trahan and Kenny Francingues will describe the action.

The matchup between the Tigers (10-8-1) and Blue Jays (13-4) is the back end of a two-game district series. Jesuit won the opener 6-2 Tuesday night at Holy Cross.

The teams enter Thursday’s game tied for second in the Catholic League standings with identical 2-1 district records.

Jesuit is seeking a second consecutive regular-season series sweep of its longtime rival, which has been an exception in recent history. Excluding the COVID-shortened 2020 season in which no district games took place, the teams split their two-game district series every year from 2015-21. In 2019, Holy Cross won a best-of-three playoff series over Jesuit at John Ryan.

The Crescent City Sports team is in its 12th season of producing live broadcasts for television and internet, having produced more than 400 live streams since 2012, and is continuing its extensive commitment to prep sports coverage on its website for 2022-23.
