Crescent City Sports to live stream Covington-Ouachita Parish playoff football game Friday night

You can watch the Class 5A second round state playoff game featuring 15th-seeded Ouachita Parish at second-seed Covington live at CrescentCitySports.com Friday night at 7 p.m.

Lenny Vangilder of CrescentCitySports.com will provide the play-by-play while former Jesuit, Brother Martin and St. Charles Catholic head coach Wayde Keiser will provide analysis. Coverage on CCS begins with pregame at 6:50 from Jack Salter Stadium.

The Lions-against-Lions matchup features a pair of teams coming off first-round victories over Bayou-area clubs. Ouachita (7-4), the No. 15 seed in the 5A bracket, was a 35-17 winner over Terrebonne, while second-seeded Covington (11-0), which completed its first perfect regular season in 29 years, knocked off Thibodaux 31-17.

Friday’s winner advances to the quarterfinals next Friday against the winner of the Hahnville-Ruston game.
Crescent City Sports will feature live streaming of no fewer than 30 high school sporting events throughout the 2017-18 school year.
