Crescent City Sports to live stream Bonnabel-West Jeff boys basketball playoff game Tuesday
Crescent City Sports’ extensive live streaming coverage of high school sports continues Tuesday night with a Class 5A boys basketball regional matchup between District 8-5A rivals Bonnabel and West Jefferson.
The Bruins and Buccaneers face off Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the West Jeff campus in Harvey. CCS’ coverage will begin shortly before tipoff, with Jude Young describing the action.
Both teams won their opening-round games last Friday. Bonnabel (25-5), the No. 4 seed in the 5A bracket, easily defeated Hammond 83-35, while No. 20 seed West Jefferson (23-10) went on the road and eliminated St. Amant 65-53 – the Bucs’ first playoff victory since 2016.
The teams met three weeks ago, also at West Jefferson, with Bonnabel winning 76-47 on Feb. 5.
The Bruins are seeking a fourth straight trip to the Class 5A quarterfinals. Bonnabel reached the state championship game in 2017 as a No. 9 seed.
Tuesday’s winner will face either Ponchatoula or LaGrange in Friday’s quarterfinals.
Crescent City Sports will feature live streaming of no fewer than 30 high school sporting events throughout the 2018-19 school year. Additionally, in cooperation with Cox Sports Television, CCS will also produce up to 10 more events that will both be televised on CST and streamed on the site.
