The game is the District 11-2A opener for the Greenies (5-0) and Cajuns (3-2).

The teams are meeting at Country Day for the second consecutive year. Last season, the Cajuns jumped to an early lead and rolled to a 51-21 victory over the Greenies. In 2015, Newman won at Lupin Field, 40-14.

Crescent City Sports will feature live streaming of no fewer than 30 high school sporting events throughout the 2017-18 school year.
