Corey Bordelon out, Steven Soper takes over as interim football coach at Archbishop Hannan
Archbishop Hannan has made a coaching change in football in mid-season.
Corey Bordelon has been relieved of his duties as head coach. Hannan has named Steven Soper as the Interim coach for the remainder of the season.
Hannan, 0-4 on the season. will play at St. Thomas Aquinas this Friday night.
Bordelon served two stints as head coach of the Hawks, originally from 2005-06 before leaving for Jesuit where he spent 2007-08 on staff under Wayde Keiser. Bordelon left Jesuit for De La Salle, where he served as head coach from 2009-11. He returned to the helm at Archbishop Hannan in 2020.
Bordelon also spent time at Mandeville, Holy Cross and Northshore as an assistant.

“Effective immediately, due to personal reasons coach Corey Bordelon will no longer serve as head football coach of Archbishop Hannan High School. We would like to thank coach Bordelon for his service to the football team and would like to confirm that he will remain on staff as the head powerlifting coach, PE teacher and assistant track and field coach.
“We would like to announce that coach Steven Soper will be named the interim head football coach for the remainder 2023-24 season. Please join us in wishing coach Soper blessings and good luck during his tenure.”
