Delgado to host regional this weekend

Softball: Colonels win on Senior Day with walkoff in the ninth

Celebrating 2019 Senior Day, the Nicholls State University softball team received plenty of big plays from its senior class against Southeastern Louisiana, but it was freshman Melise Gossen who delivered the game-winning hit in the ninth for a 4-3 walk-off victory Saturday night at Swanner Field at Geo Surfaces Park.

Bulldogs split Saturday doubleheader with Old Dominion

The Louisiana Tech baseball team saw a dominating complete-game performance from starter David Leal in the first leg of Saturday’s doubleheader, taking the first game 4-2, before Old Dominion came back and took a 7-3 win.
