Chalmette tops Cabrini in girls bowling

Allison Deffes’ 627 series, including games of 203-221-203, paced Chalmette to a 20-7 victory over Cabrini in a girls bowling match Tuesday at Bowling USA in Slidell.

Chalmette led 5-3 after the first game as the teams split the six individual matches but the Owls claimed the two bonus points with a 40-pin edge in total pins.

The Owls took control in game two, winning six of eight points, before closing out the match by claiming six of eight points in game three.

Kayla Gallagher paced Cabrini with a 462 series.

Chalmette returns to action Thursday against Archbishop Chapelle at Bowling USA, while Cabrini takes on area leader Academy of Our Lady Thursday at AMF All Star Lanes in Kenner.
