Central Lafourche hires White Castle’s Aaron Meyer as new head football coach

Central Lafourche has named Aaron Meyer as its new head football coach, reports DailyComet.com.

The decision was confirmed Thursday by Central Lafourche principal Chris Arnold.

Meyer, an former Central Lafourche assistant who served as head coach the last three seasons at White Castle, was chosen over six other applicants for the position in Matthews. Meyer led White Castle to a 9-4 record and Class 1A title game appearance last season.

As a player, Meyer played offensive line for John Curtis and signed with UCLA before finishing his college career at Nicholls State.
